BRiCS
BRiCS stands for "Build Robots Create Science", the imaginary "i" representing the spirit of innovation, imagination and interactivity that we wish to inculcate in the children of today. BRiCS was born out of the philosophy that we learn better by doing things. This spirit of Constructivism forms the central theme around which the activities of BRiCS have evolved.
BRiCS was initially started at IIT Kanpur, in which the idea of teaching science through actual model building was thought to be the better way to the just theoretical teaching in the classes.
This idea of BRiCS was further extended to various different other Institutes including Institute of Technology, BHU, Varanasi.

BRiCSters visit various schools teaching active science to the students in the guise of ROBOTICS. In this, the basic principles of Science are transformed into working models so that the students could see the applications of these basics in real life time. This also helps in nurturing the imaginations and creativity of the students so that they could express their new ideas and dreams to the world.
Innovation and creativity is the life of science and the need of the world of tomorrow, and BRiCS is a step towards that future.
